(employee will be working with or have access to children or vulnerable adults and requires a Criminal Record Check)NoJob DescriptionIn accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reporting to the Manager, Lead, Change Management Education and Methodology leads a strategic and innovative approach for developing organizational change management competency and capability. The program includes several functions that support individuals to increase their skills and applied practice of change management. Education and Methodology functions include delivering formal training programs, leading communities of practice, developing change management practice resources, tools, and templates, and providing coaching and consultation services on change management methodology.Your primary responsibility will be to develop, lead, and facilitate all functions of the change management education and methodology program. This includes planning and delivering roles-based training for people at all levels, including executive sponsors, change leaders, change practitioners, and project team members. The Lead will also be responsible for regular measurement and evaluation of the impact of the education program, and for ongoing continuous improvement.Occasional travel to lead in-person training on Vancouver Island is a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Island Health in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master's degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Change, Business Administration, or other related field. Prosci Certification(s) and/or minimum five (5) years' recent, progressive experience in change management, organizational development, human resources and training and development of staff; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Valid BC Driver's License.Skills And Abilities

  • Experience applying change management principles, methodologies and tools in a project context.
  • Experience teaching change management concepts to a variety of adult learners.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.

  • Demonstrated competencies in Microsoft Office tools including Office Suite, MS Teams, and Office365. Ability to learn and use modern online collaboration tools such as Mural, Jira, and Confluence.
