- Design & deliver custom health and safety training programs
- Ensure training programs & procedures comply with OHS regulations, laws and industry standards
- Ensure employees are up to date on training by maintaining accurate records
- Participate in JHSC
- Conduct risk assessments at all sites
- Perform site inspections and audits
- Create and maintain health & safety policies, procedures and protocols
- Provide HSE related best practices advisory information to management
- Maintain accurate accident records and prepare details incident reports
- Investigate all accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Report safety violations and recommend solutions to prevent future occurrences
- Post-secondary education in Health & Safety or related field
- OHS certification or designation
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of current legislation, Codes of Practices, Bulletins and other safe work practice requirements
- Ability to maintain confidences and ensure confidentiality of information and records
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with clean abstract
- Proficiency with MS-Office
