Job Description:Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Regional Director, Food & Beverage this individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverage department while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.The Well Public House is located in Elements Casino Chilliwack; a state-of-the-art facility is located in the heart of Chilliwack. The Well is an award winning 100 seat licensed restaurant with outdoor patio seating, a stage and live performance area whereby we can present local acts, contests, meet and greets, special live performances, and also feature crowd favourite sporting events on the big screen.Key Accountabilities· Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the Food & Beverage team at the site level as well as developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations for direct reports· Upholds exceptional Guest Services at all times· Ensure high quality and standards for F&B service· Build and develop a strong F&B team· Managing departmental budgets and labour utilization· Drive revenue and manage labour and operating costs· Training team members· Prepare and submits reports.· Managing team members' performance and attendance· Inspecting the restaurant for repair, maintenance and facilities reporting· Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments· Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members· Organize and conduct monthly inventory audits· Monitor cash outs and manage discrepancies· Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations· Performing other duties as assigned or directedEducation and Qualifications· Minimum of 2 years' experience in F&B management (or a suitable combination of progressive supervisory and management experience)· High School Diploma; Post Secondary education or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset· Full availability to work full time, with flexibility for scheduling including evenings and weekends· Must have superior verbal and written communication skills; problem solving abilities· Computer literacy in MS Office· A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development· Serving it Right Certification· Food Safe level 1 certification· Proven leadership, managerial and motivational skills.· Able to manage a large variety of projects and tasks simultaneously.· Knowledge or experience in the entertainment industry an asset· The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)Work Environment Considerations
