The Líĺwat Nation is a progressive First Nation whose traditional territory encompasses Whistler and Pemberton, BC. With a membership
of over 2,200 people, approximately 1,650 of whom live in the community, the Líĺwat Nation is the third largest First Nation in British
Columbia. The Líĺwat Nation is striving towards self-determination for, and by, its citizens by continuing to exert control over its
Traditional Territory and resources. With economic development focused on land and resource management, the Líĺwat Nation is
building the economic foundation for a sustainable community by exploring opportunities in retail, forestry, agriculture, energy projects
and construction.
About the Role
The Nurse Manager oversees the Community Health Nursing team to ensure that trauma-informed community health nursing services
are provided to the standard of Provincial and Federal nursing standards of practice. The Nurse Manager provides hands-on clinical
nursing services and backup support and vacation relief for Community Health Nurses (Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical
Nurses).
This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity for a health care professional who is dedicated to supporting and providing nursing services
to members of the Líĺwat Nation community. The ideal candidate wil hold a bachelors degree from a recognized university and currently
practicing as a Registered Nuse (RN) with the British Columbia Col ege of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). The successful candidate
wil have a minimum of five (5) years of experience of nursing experience, or a combination of education and experience, with a minimum
of one (1) year in a management role.
This position requires a clear Criminal Record Check required to work with a vulnerable sector, as wel as a Driver's License and clear
drivers abstract. This is an on-site position; the candidate must be wil ing to work in person, on location.
The salary range for this position is $85,685.60 - $117,280.80, supplement by a comprehensive total compensation plan including
Vacation; Wellness Days; Sick Days; Statutory Holidays (plus Christmas holiday) as well as Pension Plan; Local Mileage Allowance; and
Cell Phone Allowance.
