As a District Sales Manager, you will drive the sales performance for the Electrification Division, within Eastern Region, specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy. You will lead and coach the local sales organization to meet ambitious targets and exceed customer expectations.Your responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans within Eastern region, Atlantic and Ottawa districts to support company growth objectives.
  • Manage, develop, and support independent Manufacturer Representatives within the region.
  • Develop and build effective senior-level customer relationships.
  • Build value for our distributor partners and customers, while ensuring that ELIP reaches its financial objectives.
  • Demonstrate a consultative and inclusive commercial approach within the region and across the business.
  • Manage, distribute, and coordinate sales leads and prospects.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, & customer trends to ensure that commercial support is aligned to meet customer and competitive landscape.
  • Provide information for forecasts, opportunity pipeline, and account planning.
  • Take direction and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand internal policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key players / decision makers.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities at the channel and end user level
  • Site management responsibilities.
Your background
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct sales and sales management.
  • Experience of business development, account management and cross-selling
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A clear grasp of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com.
