Location: TemiskamingEvo is presently seeking a Metal Recovery Driver for its client, AmNor Industries.Under the supervision of the Témis Metal Recovery Center Supervisor, the driver collects various materials from our clients to be processed for a second life. The assigned service unit is under their responsibility.Responsabilities:
  • Performs safety rounds in accordance with our requirements;
  • Operates a cube truck or tractor-trailer safely;
  • Properly conducts metal recovery at client sites according to hazardous materials transportation standards;
  • Loads and unloads trucks using provided handling equipment;
  • Ensures that the various metals are correctly identified, secured, and stored in his unit;
  • Maintains up-to-date driving hour records;
  • Adheres to traffic laws and other applicable regulations;
  • Completes time reports, manifests, bills of lading, weighing reports, and vehicle inspection reports clearly and accurately;
  • Ensures vehicle cleanliness and reports mechanical problems immediately using the appropriate software;
  • Participates in and carries out various training courses as requested;
  • When required, may have to replace other drivers;
  • Performs other related tasks.
Training and experience:
  • Possess a valid Class 1 driver’s licence issued by the SAAQ;
  • Up-to-date TDG and SHMIS training;
  • Law 430 training certification;
  • Flexible work schedule;
  • Mechanical knowledge an asset;
  • Knowledge of English required.

Other conditions:Position requirements :
  • Full-time or part-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm;
  • The activities related to the position of driver require the ability to remain seated and alert for long hours;
  • Driver-related activities require good physical endurance, as you will be loading, unloading, pushing, pulling and lifting different types of containers and bins in the vehicle.
Responsability :
  • The driver is responsible for the goods transported and the vehicle operated;
  • The driver is responsible for managing his route to avoid delays;
  • The driver is responsible for his own safety and that of the other road users.
Effort required :
  • The position requires a high level of effort;
  • Good concentration skills.
Work environment conditions :
  • Most of the work is done on the road, in a truck;
  • Work environment where weather conditions can change rapidly;
  • Working environment can be dirty and noisy, depending on the customer.
