- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints
- Construct support hangers and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications
- Utilize pipe bending tools or machines to bend pipe
- Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks
- Ensure that holes cut in pipe will not cause structural weakness
- Connect pipe utilizing threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints and hand tools
- Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders
- Cut pipe utilizing saws, pipe cutting machines, cutting torch, etc.
- Secure pipe with brackets, clamps, and hangars
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Must be an Alberta registered apprentice or ticketed journeyman (or hold an apprenticeship or journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
- CSTS-09 or CSO
- Overhead crane and rigging considered an asset
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
- Organized and self-motivated
