We are currently looking for a Sr. Analyst, Digital Communications to support our client, a leading Oil and Gas firm. In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, working in support of their North York, ON office (hybrid position).The Sr. Analyst, Digital Communications, will work collaboratively with the digital communications team members for the successful development, execution and management of our clients five social media channels, digital tactics and strategies. In addition, this role provides technical expertise to inform a user-oriented perspective for the design, development and sustainment of our website and other digital channels as required. Provides subject matter expertise in developing content with best practice design principles and adherence to accessibility and brand requirements.Advantages

Responsibilities
Digital Media Leadership - 10% of role
  • Contribute to EGI's social media strategy and implementation.
  • Enable a “digital first” culture by integrating digital and social strategies into public affairs and communication plans.
  • Identify and assess opportunities to better engage with external audiences and enable digital engagement tactics.
  • Act as an advisor and thought leader on the latest trends, conversations and digital mediums.
  • Develop strong intra-industry relationships with peers, partners and associations.
  • Support internal clients to use social media safely and strategically through the development of digital resources, tools and materials.
Digital Media Administration- 5% of role
  • Manage employee access to social media platforms and associated training on platform use.
  • Enforce the corporate social media policy.
  • Manage all EGI social media profiles interface design.
  • Coordinate social media activities with Enbridge Inc.
  • Maintain and update social media passwords.
  • Coordinate payment of all internal social media paid posts and campaigns.
Ongoing social media management- 25% of role
  • Using social media monitoring platform (Hootsuite, Mention), monitor all communication coming-in and going-out of the social media platforms during business hours.
  • Review, edit and approve social media content across various channels.
  • Review overall health and engagement across social media channels.
  • Using customer response matrix, delegate issues to the appropriate SME for response (e.g. customer enquiries, incidents, protests, reputational concerns etc.)
  • Respond to comments on organic posts following customer response matrix.
  • Review and highlight partnership content that may require amplification on social media. Recommend an approach for internal clients.
  • Coordinate and post response to customer messages escalated by the customer communications Sr. Analyst
  • Daily monitoring (8- 4) for issues related to operational incidents and protests and escalate issues to both the shared rotation DCO and PIO.
  • Daily monitoring for issues flagged by external communications or corporate as being of specific interest to Enbridge.
  • Provide back up support for Sr. Analyst customer communications in responding to customer care inquiries.
  • Support events, speeches and promotional activities required on social media. Participate in meetings and coordinate with internal clients to determine timing approve content and receive required approvals before posting,
Content Curation - 20% of role
  • Create and manage a social media content calendar, coordinating with key internal clients.
  • Receive creative briefs for cross-platform issues which include social media as a communication tactic (e.g. rates, carbon tax, community expansion, etc.) and create required digital assets for clients.
  • Develop and implement unique, creative and strategic organic digital campaigns in support of company initiatives.
  • Paid campaign development designed to support various internal stakeholder groups. This includes creating content, assets, building out campaigns and managing approval process.
  • Focus on increasing engagement and growing followers by listening and encouraging engagement with the social media audience and/or stakeholders on relevant conversations.
  • Work closely with EGI's graphics team to create visual assets for posts and campaigns.
  • Monitor online mentions and conversations/ around the company's brand. Flag issues to internal stakeholders as needed.
Digital Analytics- 10% of role
  • Provide comprehensive analytics for paid and organic digital media campaigns and recommendations for increasing engagement.
  • Develop and implement a monthly social media report that includes top line analytics for all channels and campaigns.
  • connect social and web accounts using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Twitter Developer Platform, Facebook Pixels and Facebook App ID.
  • Manages access, on-boarding and off-boarding of vendors and troubleshoots technical campaign issues.
Digital content creation, coordination and maintenance - 30% of role
  • Traffic coordinator for Enbridge Gas Inc sites content / quality assurance to ensure content meets brand and accessibility standards.
  • Make recommendations and work collaboratively with agency of record, and internal marketing teams to execute day - to - day development of digital and social media campaigns. This includes setup and ongoing management of all paid social media campaigns on various channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn.
  • Testing plans - create project-specific testing plans and manage implementation including scheduling testers and ensure compliance.
  • Support and manage quality assurance processes for website content for all our websites.
  • Shared accountability for review / approval of content to be published
  • Design, deploy and sustain approval work flows as defined by client (approval process)
  • Update and maintain time-sensitive material
  • Maintain website information architecture for Enbridge Gas Inc websites.
  • Archive and backup content (where this is not automatic).
  • Publish content as needed.
Qualifications
  • Four years of corporate communications experience.
  • A degree in communications, business, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field.
Technical Skills / Core digital communications competencies
  • Skillful in social media and engaged in digital media channels personally and professionally.
  • Understanding of social platforms, how to use and manage them.
  • Solid understanding of how to measure, track and evaluate performance in digital media.
  • Good judgment in determining relevant content for our external audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and budgets.
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to bring strategic communications support and value to all projects.
  • Able to craft interesting and informative communications in a variety of digital formats, clearly and concisely.
  • Confident presenting in meetings to a diverse audience, including senior leaders, able to create visually interesting PowerPoints.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Experience with Sitecore or other web publishing platforms.
  • Organized, able to coordinate content calendars and manage vendor deliverables.
  • Photoshop skills - editing, resizing, image optimization and color correction.
Social Process (People) Skills:
  • Team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently. Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Overtime required evenings and weekends for web releases and project testing.Emergency Response, Shared On-Call
Share 24-7-365 emergency on-call rotation as part of five-person Digital Communication Officer (DCO) Role.
  • During the shared on-call, monitor for issues that could impact the companies brand / reputation e.g. operational incidents, protests and escalate issues to the on-call Public Information Officer (PIO).
  • Provide social media and web support for active incidents including monitoring, posting and responding of approved messages on social media and Enbridge Gas websites, at the direction of the PIO.
