- Lead and develop a team of 5+ technical product managers to its full potential
- Lead a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for internal data components, including the structured extracted information (system of record), ML, and data pipelines that ladder up to the company strategy
- Establish a world-class technical product management craft within BenchSci
- Recruit, nurture, and retain top product talent
- Be accountable for data product portfolio performance, including the execution of BenchSci's ambitious 12-month roadmap
- Partner with leaders across the Platform Stream including the SVP of Product and Science, SVP of Technology, VP of Science, and VP of Engineering/ML, as well as other representatives from science, bioinformatics, data engineering, and machine learning experts, and product management peers to promote complex releases enabled by internal data components
- Champion the product vision and regularly communicate the impact of our work
- Work closely with Commercial Product Management to provide an end-to-end vision
- Define clear success measures for your team, and communicate their importance within the company
- Work with Platform Operations to establish operational excellence to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness
- Apply AI/ML to address novel challenges in experiment design and drug development
- Collaborate with leadership in Engineering, R&D, Science, Sales, and Marketing to align teams around and deliver product outcomes
- 6+ years of product management experience on underlying technical/data infrastructure for an enterprise SaaS product
- 3+ years leading and growing high-performing teams
- Successfully developed and delivered innovative new products to the market
- An educational background or workplace experience in the life sciences
- Solid familiarity with data pipelines and working with modern data infrastructure (e.g. Kubernetes, data processing engines such as Spark or Beam, massively scalable databases such as Redshift or BigQuery)
- Collaborated with senior executives to align business and product strategy
- A track record of success in growth-stage organizations
- Strong executive presence, and coming from a place of understanding before implementing change
- Experience leading products that leverage large, complex datasets
