- Generating 3 to 5 local stories per day for radio and digital platforms
- Generating radio newscasts for multiple markets in Northwestern Ontario
- Developing and nurturing relationships with newsmakers in our listening area
- Continuously seeking multimedia storytelling opportunities, while covering events that will enhance our coverage and content across all platforms
- This is a Monday to Friday position with a rotational weekend on-call schedule
- A Journalism or Digital Media diploma, or equivalent relevant experience
- A self-starter who can be flexible and adapt to changing priorities on the fly, including breaking news outside regular office hours
- An ability to make the complicated easy to understand
- An understanding and proficiency in distributing content through social media channels
- Knowledge and experience with industry software including Burli would be considered an asset
- A valid driver's license
