- Reviewing subcontractor invoices before submitting to finance.
- Generally, assist and support the Contracts Manager or a member of the Legal/Commercial group.
- Assist project staff with the interpretation and practical application of contract documents.
- Assist project staff with identification, documentation and quantification of changes in the Work and claims.
- Act as the point of contact for contractual matters on the assigned project.
- Document significant events on projects.
- Monitor and maintain project change order log.
- Coordinate and prepare claims.
- Draft notices to client of changes or events requiring notice.
- Interface with project team on site and prepare commercial updates to the project team and clients as required.
- Bachelor's Degree or an educational background in Business Administration/Law/Communications/Paralegal.
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in the construction industry in contract administration.
- Previous experience working for a construction company preferred.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of legal documents, navigating contracts and interpreting them.
- Basic knowledge of contract administration procedures.
- Experience in drafting and administering contracts.
- Display sound judgement and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Good planning and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products with advanced Word skills.
