We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.The Associate Director – Program Management and Affiliate Effectiveness is focused on accelerating the affiliate’s transformation and automation initiatives, while also coordinating and participating in the Canadian affiliate Lead Team meetings. The role will report to the associate VP Digital Transformation and Operations with a dotted line to the General Manager and will work very closely with Canadian Leadership Team.The position is located in Toronto and office-based employees are expected to be in office for a minimum of 4 to 12 days per month.This individual will be responsible for coordinating all LT meetings agendas to ensure alignment with the affiliate’s long-term strategic vision, key priorities and drive overall affiliate effectiveness.He/she will influence the affiliate’s strategy: provide recommendations to bring in new technologies, maximize the value of current assets, and move away from others. He/she will also influence program priorities based on business needs and activities having the biggest impact on business performance. The selected individual will also own the annual calendar for key meetings and will plan the various LT touchpoints needed to deliver these business processes.This individual will work very closely with the Tech@Lilly group and various key functions to design the strategic plans and implement business solutions that will help accelerate our affiliate’s 5 years plan.The role will be responsible for all aspects of Program management, including the assurance of alignment with all functions involved.Specifically, this person will establish and maintain governance of the prioritized affiliate initiatives across all functions and workstreams. They will clearly define effective and efficient large, multi-dimensional program management practices to be utilized by the teams, and the processes that focus on integrating and managing program activity to achieve program goals.Thanks to the close collaboration and alignment with the local Leadership Team, they will be responsible to articulate the value of each Program and ensure alignment between business partners, the implementation teams, and vendors to ensure program strategy is understood by key stakeholders.This person will lead, monitor and maintain progress of Program plans to ensure delivery of the key stages and goals within the agreed constraints of time, cost and quality. They will ensure alignment across all functions to understand, communicate, and act on dependencies and will act as an escalation point for all workstreams and manage multiple, conflicting priorities.The selected candidate will provide significant insights into Program progression, adjustments needed, budget management, activities at risk, etc.The selected candidate will use external information to bring progressive, forward-thinking solutions forward to advance Lilly’s automation capabilities. They will direct and council leadership about ground-breaking technologies and trends, anticipate and communicate the implications of technical decisions on the business, systems, and Program timelines.They will ensure we establish standards for innovative automation Programs. Design the enterprise principles and standards for automation based on anticipated and repeated needs across Programs, value drivers, and regulations. Document and champion these principles, guidelines, patterns, and methodologies across business and it Program teams, and ensure they are well understood and adopted.For this position, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree with technology and/or program management subject area
  • A minimum of 5 years of in-depth pharma experience with experience in program management, designing and implementing business transformation programs with IT components and relevant cross-functional experience
  • 6Sigma or Program Management Professional (PgMP) a plus
  • Agile methodologies such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe Agilist can also be beneficial
  • Proficiency in project management tools and collaboration software a must
