- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in commercial trucks, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of commercial trucks, including engine overhauls, brake adjustments, and suspension repairs
- Replace faulty components with genuine or compatible parts to maintain the functionality and performance of commercial trucks
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to comply with regulatory requirements and facilitate efficient workflow
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, share knowledge, and deliver exceptional customer service to fleet managers, drivers, and other stakeholders
- Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate
- 3rd or 4th Year apprentice technician will be considered
- BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is considered an asset)
- Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided)
- Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment
- Ability to work in a physical capacity including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift
- Use of computerized scanning equipment, able to use digital technology/mechanical software
- Certifications (Detroit, Chassis, Cummins, Allison, CVIP license) are assets
