The role leads a team of experienced researchers and external vendors to effectively define research objectives, synthesize complex data sets, identify key trends, and use leading-edge platforms and technologies to communicate actionable insights that inform marketing, product development, customer experience, service channel optimization, and other critical enterprise-level initiatives.This is a Full-time, Permanent role working on a Hybrid schedule and reports directly to the Director, Research and Insights.A typical day would involve:
  • Proactively consult with internal clients to develop and refine business strategies based on consumer insights, providing strategic and actionable recommendations from the synthesis of a variety of qualitative and quantitative research sources.
  • Lead the design of consumer research studies and data analyses, and manage external vendors, to understand emerging market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes utilizing a variety of traditional and leading-edge research methodologies and tools/technology.
  • Create insightful reports and presentations tailored to different internal client groups, ensuring effective communication of findings, strategic implications, and recommendations across all levels of the organization, and do it in a way that inspires confidence and demonstrates strategic thinking at a high-level within the organization.
  • Lead and mentor a team of experienced research and service design consultants, inspiring them to develop to the best of their abilities, foster their professional development and ensure the highest quality outputs for internal clients.
You have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field
  • 8+ years in the consumer insights & market research field utilizing customer segmentation, CX/UX, brand health, ad tracking, NPS/customer satisfaction, voice of the customer and/or product development research methodologies and tools.
  • Team leadership experience, with the ability to motivate performance and skills development.
  • Excellent stakeholder consultation skills to uncover clear research objectives and guide end-users through resulting insights to inform business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing clear narratives and storytelling, translating complex data into easy to understand, actionable insights – both visually and verbally.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking skills to proactively identify ways that consumer research can best support business plans.
  • Working knowledge of Qualtrics, PowerBI, Recollective tools an asset.
The Team: In this role, you will report to the Director, Research & Insights.The salary range for the role is $91,000 to $136,400 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($113,700).
