Our passion for our craft fuels every project we touch.JOB OVERVIEWThe Sales and Repairs Lead position reports to the Procurement and Repairs Supervisor and is responsible for providing direct assistance in the leadership and delivery of a high level of customer service in the Sales and Repairs services provided to KF and its customers. Duties for this role requires independent decision making, non-standard problem solving, trouble shooting and development/training of the Sales and Repairs team.ACCOUNTABILITIESRepairs & CalibrationEnsuring the effective processing of Major aircraft assemblies, Components, Rotables, Tooling and Test Equipment by:
  • Carrying out the core verification process to prepare parts/tooling for processing; including Part Number verification, part description and associated serial & tracking numbers.
  • Ensuring that process stakeholders have effectively completed the required steps to ensure parts/tooling are moved to the correct virtual location for processing.
  • Obtaining external repair & calibration vendor quotes and securing approval/non approval from customers or delegated KF employees; communicating status of quotes.
Sales – Materials, Parts, Tooling and Services:Ensuring the Sales and Repairs Group provides consistent and accurate quoting of Materials, Parts, and Services by:
  • Verifying customer Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) by validating Part Numbers (PN’s) to determine if current, not superseded or stocked under alternate PN in the Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC’s).
  • Selecting the correct inventory for a successful sale; this involves assessing the appropriate part condition and regulatory requirements for the customer.
  • Investigating previous sales history, and other available data, to determine fair market sale value.
Assistance to Finance Department:Providing oversight and assistance in support of the KF Finance Department by:
  • Ensuring all required data is provided supporting the invoicing process, including the customer Purchase Order, Packing slips, Certifications and Ship To notification.
  • Verifying the billing file providing all parts and materials costing and markups.
  • Confirming payment terms agreed to at time of customer Purchase Order acceptance including pre-payments, form of payment and current account status.
Customer and Vendor Interaction:Cultivating effective working relationships with customers and vendors by:
  • Ensuring an approved vendor database is maintained, understanding the vendors core product competencies and capabilities in response to KF Repair Orders and manufacturing orders.
  • Reviewing vendor performance.
  • Developing strategic alliances and partnerships with KF customers and vendors.
  • Acting as a liaison between repair facilities and KF customers.
Department & Supervisor SupportWorking with the Procurement and Repairs Supervisor to ensure that the Sales and Repairs Group is operating effectively, and team members are supported by:
  • Monitoring PowerBi dashboards (Tooling & Rotables) to ensure all projects and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that all Sales and Repairs ERP and supplemental assigned training is completed on time.
  • Ensuring performance reviews and feedback interviews are conducted in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related skillset.
  • Proven effective leadership skills; a focus on teamwork & collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain, Quality & Production processes.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical data.
  • Experience in the aviation industry, including understanding of life limited parts/components/assemblies is an asset.
  • Hold, or willing to work towards, Supply Chain and Leadership related accreditation.
  • Familiarity with KF Aerospace and the variety of aviation services provided.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor M3, JIRA, PowerBi, MS Office) is an asset.
  • Able to work productively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem solving and advanced analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus; capable to provide excellent customer service.
  • Planning, organizing, multitasking skills and attention to detail are required.
