Corporate EHS Manager
Winnipeg, MBOn behalf of our client, Vector Construction Ltd., we are on the lookout for a Corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join their growing team. The primary responsibility of the Corporate EHS Manager is to oversee and administer Vector's Safety Program, ensuring safety compliance across all divisions and projects. Based in their Winnipeg office, this role involves extensive travel to offices and job sites in the US and Canada on a regular basis.As the Corporate EHS Manager, you will:
  • Drive awareness and accountability for environmental, health, and safety performance, analyzing potential safety issues impacting Vector's culture.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for divisions in managing local safety programs and site-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate company safety and compliance programs, including training initiatives and online compliance efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, conducting site audits and supporting divisions to ensure project completion.
  • Develop and present annual EHS plans, goals, and reports.
  • Assist in incident management, investigations, and corrective action design.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety compliance monitoring and site inspections.
  • Manage and document the Company's safety program administration.
  • Provide ongoing updates to management on any issues impacting work performance.
You and Your Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of safety management experience, with 5 years in construction
  • NCSO designation required.
  • Post-Secondary education in HSE preferred.
  • Results-oriented leader accustomed to fast-paced environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry Standards in construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Teams, SharePoint, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must pass and comply with Vector drug testing requirements.
  • Extensive domestic and international travel required (60-70% of the time) requiring a passport and ability to cross borders.
