Reports to: Assistant In-Room Dining ManagerStatus: On CallHourly Rate: $18.97Core ResponsibilitiesAnswers telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest’s order, describes the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods;Delivers food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room;Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order;Transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality;Communicates guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order;Coordinates delivery of items to the guestroom by In-Room Dining servers in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality;Properly and accurately close guest checks, record guest charges and gratuities;Anticipates guest needs, ascertains satisfaction, offers suggestions, and responds urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests;Coordinates amenity delivery by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion;Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors;Stocks and order items;Assists in setting tray tables for delivery;Walk guest floors and retrieve any In-Room Dining related items from guest floor/room;Provide service at the restaurant, for rooms or banquets during periods of high volume;Reports all incidents or unusual situations to the supervisor as quickly as possible;Perform any other related tasks;Desired qualifications and skillsAvailable to work any shift, including morning, afternoon, evening and overnight;1 – 2 years’ experience in the same role, ideally in a luxury hotel environment;Strong command of the French and English languages;An affinity for guest service;Good interpersonal skills.
