- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSE-related regulations.
- Managing relationships with all internal and external members.
- Being up to date with regulations and industry practices.
- Providing the necessary training and guidance to ensure the Health and Safety system is understood and followed by all members.
- Responsible for performing daily audits for identifying and controlling any hazards.
- Investigate all incidents and perform the necessary steps to avoid further occurrence in the future.
- Ensure all workplace injuries are reported within the required timeframes.
- Complete incident reports as needed.
- Organize workshops, training seminars, and presentations to educate employees on health & safety issues and promote a safe working environment.
- Travel and visit sites as required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or equivalent.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in a HSE role preferably in a managerial position.
- Experience in Civil construction preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of OH&S Acts and other applicable legislation.
- Expertise in investigation and auditing techniques (COR/ISO).
- Experienced with WSIB reporting and IHSA COR requirements.
- NCSO certification is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- French would be an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Position requires traveling to multiple locations, valid driver’s license required.
