Quality Truck Care Center is a Family-owned business in The Fox Valley since 1986! We represent Western Star, and Autocar. Certified in Detroit, Cummins, CAT engines, Allison and Detroit Transmissions and Axles.Our De Pere, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac locations are currently looking for trailer technicians to join our team. Position Summary:Repairs and services the mechanical, electrical, and other components of a trailer using hand tools, power tools, welders, and/or any other testing or repair equipment necessary.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Determines necessary mechanical, electrical, or other areas that need repair to meet the customer’s expectations.
  • Correctly performs DOT & PM Inspections on trailers.
  • Welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum, as necessary
  • Repairs electronics and runs trailer wires, as necessary.
  • Fixes and repair tires, as necessary
  • Assists customers on service calls.
  • Correctly completes all forms, timecards, parts requests, or any other documents associated with trailer repairs.
  • Represents Quality Truck Care Center in a professional manner, remaining friendly and courteous in all customer and coworker interactions.
  • Wears proper personal protective equipment to protect from injury.
  • Keeps work areas clean and free of clutter.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, CDL preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to talk and hear.
  • Ability to walk up and down one full flight of stairs to reach office areas, storage rooms and meeting rooms.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to manipulate tools.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull.
  • Ability to see with close vision.
  • Ability to communicate with others verbally (telephone and in person) and in written communication methods.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and carry.
