The Plant Controller is also accountable to develop and maintain appropriate internal control systems and procedures that safeguard the assets of the Company.The Role:Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions, including hiring, training and retaining competent accounting staffManage the accumulation of all financial and statistical data necessary for an accurate accounting of business resultsCoordinate and prepare internal financial statements. Provide management with management reports that support decision making ex. Direct Labour variance, Material usage, Scrap, departmental spending Purchase Price Variance “PPV”, overhead analysisPrepare and manage the annual budget as well as the monthly forecastsAssess current accounting and internal control processes, develop recommendations for improvement and monitor on going performanceLiaise with external auditors and lead financial audits.
