This is a contract position for a Software Developer for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Four Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)Advantages

Deliverables for Sr. Software Developer:
  • Migrate the current IFIS Change Management approval workflow from JIRA On-Premise to Cloud.
  • Conduct analysis of current customized code and process flow to identify compatibilities issues and deliver resolutions.
  • Provide development work enhancement as required.
  • Identify replacement to current third partly add-ons that might not work in Jira cloud.
  • Write required code and modify existing code to integrate new add-ons with the solution and to address issues.
  • Conduct Unit and Integration testing and fix identified bugs.
  • Collaborate and work closely with Atlassian support team to address migration issues.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Migrate the solution from On-prem to Jira cloud Dev/Test environment.
  • Migrate the solution to production environment after completion of required testing.
  • Conduct post go-live smoke test.
  • Provide post-implementation support and resolve any technical issues.
  • Draft technical documents as required.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of experience in JIRA software configuration and workflow customization.
- Must have strong experience in design and development within Jira cloud environment.
- Must have 3+ years of experience building custom scripts.
- A strong experience of relational databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL).
- Strong experience in software development lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile).
- Experience in migrating JIRA server to Cloud.
- Strong knowledge and experience with JIRA add-ons (e.g., Script Runner, Automation, Integration with GitHub).
- Solid working knowledge of ITSM related to release management and testing activities.
- Knowledge of Single-Sign-On and integration with Azure AD.
- Experience with Change Management and Release Management as processes supporting the implementation of large applications.Nice to Have:
