We deliver dynamic solutions and are uniquely pan-Canadian, offering legal services in more business centers in the country than any other national firm.Our Construction and Infrastructure Group is seeking an energetic, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial Construction Lawyer to join the Contracts and Procurement team in our Vaughan office.The Construction and Infrastructure Group is dedicated to delivering strategic advice and unparalleled value to our clients, empowering them to achieve their goals. With a network of skilled lawyers across the country, we boast extensive experience in navigating a wide array of construction and infrastructure matters, including land development, project finance, procurement, contracting, and all forms of dispute resolution. Our specialization in construction enables us to identify and address the specific challenges of a construction project, and, when appropriate, collaborate across disciplines with our other colleagues in the firm.As a key member of our Contracts and Procurement team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of matters, including procurements and contract documents, negotiations, and dispute resolution matters for a myriad of infrastructure, ICI, and residential development projects. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic advice, drafting contracts and other legal documents, and representing clients in negotiations and certain dispute resolution matters.The successful candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of experience in construction law, with a preference given to those with construction related drafting experience,
  • A license to practice in Ontario,
  • Proven client management skills,
  • Strong analytical, communication, and drafting skills,
  • An entrepreneurial attitude.
