Cordelio has more than 1,200 MW of renewable power assets under management in Canada and the United States, and a growth pipeline of over 18,000 MW of wind, solar and storage projects.With offices in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Chicago, and Portland (Maine), Cordelio’s operations and growth activities are performed with a view toward working with all stakeholders in an efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible manner.Job DescriptionPosition OverviewReporting to Vice President, Operations & Asset Management the Asset Manager drives tactical and strategic initiatives to optimize the performance of all assigned assets through close collaboration with the broader team.This role is available to eligible Canadian or US based candidates with in-office or remote accommodations.ResponsibilitiesMonitor asset performance and develop and implement strategies to maximize the operational performance of renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, and other technologies; manage technical issues to ensure they are fully analyzed, and appropriate solutions developed and implemented.Manage and assist with various financial aspects of renewable energy projects, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reports.Manage, track and deliver all required contract deliverables for all material project agreements of assigned assets.Oversee contracts with suppliers, service providers, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives, support in dispute negotiations with contractual counterparties.Identify and assess risks related to asset performance, market conditions, and regulatory changes • Stay abreast of relevant regulations and ensure that all renewable energy projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans by studying market conditions and internal operational needs, identify technological and commercial opportunities; present assumptions and recommend objectives and execution of strategies necessary to achieve agreed performance targets.Implement and continuously improve local asset management systems and processes consistent with organizational policies and standards.Coordinate planning and execution efforts with all stakeholder departments by establishing strong, collaborative relationships with support departments that provide essential skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to deliver cost savings and achieve goals, such as HSE, Procurement, Controlling, Insurance, Engineering, and Operations teams effectively and profitably.Skills & RequirementsMinimum 5 years of proven experience in asset management within the renewable energy sector.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or 2 additional years of comparable work experience. Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.Experience in asset management and/or technical expertise in the renewable energy industry.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to translate technical findings into commercial implications.Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables.Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage internal/external relationships.Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team.Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds.Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable.Detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts.Travel RequirementsUp to 10-25% primarily domestically (U.S. and Canada).
