Position: Senior Buyer
Location: Laval
Industry: Import-Export / Food
Salary: 70k-80kThe position of senior buyer in the food industry in Laval requires strategic expertise in procurement, negotiation, and sourcing of food product suppliers. This role involves constant vigilance over the company's needs and maintaining minimal inventory to maximize available warehouse space. Inventory management (physical and system)Demand planning: analyzing trends to minimize inventory based on demand.Working with a broker in Italy.Placing orders (currently 300 SKUs).Coordinating container shipments with the broker.Traveling abroad to trade shows to acquire new suppliers.Sourcing and negotiation.Managing a purchasing volume of 4 million euros per year.Qualifications
8 years of relevant purchasing experience
Experience in the food industry, particularly with frozen products, is an asset
Proficiency in common office software
Good proficiency in Excel
Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written; Italian is an asset.
Experience with HACCP is an asset
