- Experience with automotive coatings application and/or automotive coatings experience.
- Knowledge of general paint processes - robotic applicators.
- Knowledge and troubleshooting paint quality issues.
- Knowledge of mixroom functions – inventory control, usage, material validation (viscosity, pH).
- Collect & record data including appearance (wave-scan), color (BYK-mac) & filmbuild (PELT).
- Manage relationships with manufacturing & engineering team at customer sites.
- Maintain key communication regarding daily projects, line issues.
- Initiate/participate in internal & external business meetings.
- Build relationships (all levels) – internal & external.
- Support change initiatives that help teams deliver value.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while handling multiple projects.
- Able to work under stressful situation (quality issues/ spills).
- Good personality, friendly, outgoing - effective communicator.
- Ability to adapt to flexible shifts (day & afternoon shifts), weekend work, and OT.
- High School diploma required. Additional education/college degree ideal.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Additional education/college degree in Engineering/Technical field is highly preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have at least three (1) year of automotive coatings application and/or automotive coatings manufacturing experience.
- Additional experience with automotive painting equipment is highly preferred.
- The ideal candidate must have an understanding of technical (lab, research, etc.) principles and practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
- The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while handling multiple projects at any given time.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred
