- Oversee the entire payroll process, guaranteeing precision and adherence to company regulations.
- Execute diverse payroll tasks within the company's payroll systems.
- Keep abreast of payroll regulations and labor laws changes to ensure organizational compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations concerning attendance and leave.
- Generate and assess payroll reports for managerial review.
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues by collaborating closely with the HR team.
- Complete monthly WSIB premium reporting and execute month-end tasks such as vacation accruals or reversals, WSIB reporting, employee counts, KPIs, and other required reports.
- Fulfill year-end audit obligations and handle T4 information processing.
- Additional related duties.
- 3-5 years of related experience in a Payroll Coordinator position, preferably within a manufacturing context.
- Proficiency in ADP's Workforce Now is preferred.
- PCP designation a definite
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) is highly recommended.
- Sound understanding of employment and payroll laws and regulations in Ontario.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
- Sound understanding of employment and payroll laws and regulations in Canada.
- Keen attention to details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
