Lifeguarding promotes teamwork and strengthens the fundamentals of water safety with our residents. If you are 16 years or older and looking for a fun summer job, with rewarding experiences, lifeguarding is a great place to start.Class ScheduleEach Day of the Session is Required for CompletionMarch, 22nd, 2024 Friday 4:00pm-8:00pmMarch, 23rd 2024 Saturday 9:00am-5:00pmMarch, 24th, 2024 Sunday 9:00am-5:00pmDeadline: March 20th, 2024 Maximum Class Size: 12Refunds are only given if a class is canceled due to low enrollment. No refunds will be given to any students that miss any dates or fail the class.Class Prerequisites:(Must be completed before the end of the last day of class)250 Meter swim non-stop50 Meter swim with a rescue tubeRetrieval of a 10-pound object from a depth of 12 feetTread water without the use of arms for 1 minute and 30 secondsBeachwalk cannot guarantee that every participant will pass the Lifeguard Class and Beachwalk does not guarantee that participants will be hired after passing the class.Participants must be 16 years old before the last day of the class to be eligible to be hired by Beachwalk as a Lifeguard.
