As an instructional design intern, you will identify instructional needs, participate in the development of content plans, and design interactive activities. You will need to demonstrate communication skills, time management, and knowledge of learning theories.Location: LCI Business Solutions - 2100, Sainte-Catherine O, H3H 2T3, Montreal, QuebecStatus: Inter – 675 hoursSalary: 25$/hourRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and assess pedagogical needs (e.g. by preparing and conducting work sessions, interviews, content and resource analysis);
  • Participate in the development of a high-level content map or plan based on the results of the content analysis, the identified requirements in terms of pedagogical characteristics and the parameters of the chosen authoring tool;
  • Participate in the drafting of learning objectives and the establishment of the teaching sequence;
  • Participate in the design process by proposing or creating appropriate interactive learning activities, practical exercises and performance measures for the expected learner outcomes;
  • Participate in the development of a learning architecture that details the sequence or structure of all the elements proposed in an educational solution;
  • Write on-screen text and voice-over narration for new scripts/storyboards;
  • Examine existing teaching material for consistency and quality assurance;
  • Design tools for formative and summative evaluation of teaching;
  • Participate in various tasks in his/her area of expertise (on request).
REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of core courses or evidence of significant progress towards a Master's degree in Educational Technology (or equivalent program).
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills;
  • Good team player;
  • Be comfortable receiving and giving feedback and formulating personal learning objectives;
  • Flexible and dynamic to meet the needs of the client and the project team;
  • Energetic and creative;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English and French);
  • Time management skills;
  • Basic skills in customer management and needs analysis;
  • Working knowledge of learning theories and current best practices in educational technology;
  • Working knowledge of media design and production processes.
