JOB SUMMARYActively solicits the Architect and Design Communities, promoting product offerings and technical options, that aligns with sales strategies and business development channels throughout the Canadian Maritimes, Ontario and Manitoba Provinces.DIRECT AND INDIRECT REPORTS
No direct or indirect reportsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIESFinancial and/or Budget: (if applicable)Develops Product Presentation and Geographical footprint of A&D opportunities for approval by Regional Sales ManagerHealth & Safety:Follows all safe working procedures and processes and reports incidents and accidents promptlyTechnical / Function-Specific:Develops strong relationships with new/existing Architects & Designers to grow the business.
Works collaboratively with A&D Community to better understand their needs and goes out of the way to deliver on commitments made.
Promotes Commdoor and Glass Group product lines and business portfolio across the Industry and A&D Trade Associations.
Conducts Architectural Presentations to a high standard and with positive impact.
Attends Project Site Meetings, and Inspections as required in order to better service and understand the needs of customers and key stakeholders and ensure delivery of timely services in line with client agreements.
Monitor sales trends and actively take part in promotional campaigns to generate interest and secure orders
Keep up to date on competitor progress and be alert to competitor activities and changes in market trends
Reviews Architectural and Glazing Contractor drawings, as required.
Secure and foster the inclusion of Commdoor & Toro Glass Group into project specifications.
Present the Commdoor and Glass Group offerings to Regional School Boards
Manage the Commdoor Sample ProgramInternal / External Customer Service:Architectural & Design Representative will work with Commdoor Engineering, R&D, Technical Sales, and Customer Service counterparts, as necessary.Other / List Other Unique Major Categories: (if applicable)Administration:Produces activity reports and business reports as required by the needs of the business.
Develops and maintains a client/customer portfolio and key contact details and ensure information is regularly updatedQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY OPERATE IN THE ROLEEducation:Good standard of educationExperienceSales experience within the Construction industry an assetSKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY EXECUTE THE ABOVE RESPONSIBILITIESAbility to review blueprints would be an asset
Excellent communication skills
Excellent time management, and organizational skills
Self-motivate and driven to succeed
Computer skills in Excel, Microsoft Work, Outlook, Web Inquiries and Power Point
