Randstad is excited to partner with a leading Engineering Firm in their search for a Project Manager/Engineer across their Municipal division. This position will play a key role in the development and growth of their Municipal practice. Reporting to the Team Lead, this position will see you working on a wide variety of projects, including, municipal water, wastewater, drainage, roadway infrastructure, and site servicing projects.   • Collaborate with the Manager and Team Leads to expand the existing Municipal Engineering practice
  • Offer mentorship to both new and existing junior staff
  • Work closely with team members to oversee and manage the design and execution of land development and municipal infrastructure projects, encompassing site developments, municipal upgrades, water resources, watermain and sewage collection rehabilitation, road design.
  • Actively engage in the design process, providing guidance and direction to the design team from conceptualization to completion.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in the execution of major infrastructure projects.
  • Establish and maintain communication with various municipal, utility, and approval agencies.
  • Assume responsibility for projects, including managing budgets, schedules, scope, and client communications.
  • Utilize proven design expertise to develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs.
  • Take the lead in preparing RFPs, Bid, and Proposal documents.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7+ years of municipal infrastructure for Public and Private Sector projects;
  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in civil engineering from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer or Technologist designation in Alberta
  • Knowledge and application of Transportation standards and guidelines
  • Knowledge and application of Environmental standards and guidelines
  • Project Management experience on municipal and/or private sector projects
  • Experience with sewer, watermain, and road design
  • Familiarity with local planning/approval processes
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Experience working with the various Northern Alberta municipalities and First Nations is an asset
