Our client, an internationally acclaimed and award-winning charity, is looking to hire a Director of Finance and Administration. This role is located in Toronto (TTC Accessible). This is a full-time hybrid position (3 days per week in office).Snapshot of the Role:Under the direction of the COO, and in close collaboration with the Senior Management Team the Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for supervising all activities related to financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, investment management, business processes/systems, organizational risk assessment, human resources oversight (including compensation and benefits, payroll, employee files, employee contract management, training and recruiting) and other aspects of organizational administration. The Director of Finance and Administration also provides leadership to the Finance and Administration team.Your Key Qualifications:· University Degree.· CPA Designation.· 5+ years of experience with financial reporting guidelines for charities, GAAP, and CRA regulations and guidelines.· 5+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in a not-for-profit setting.· 5+ years of experience in a charitable not-for-profit environment developing and administering all aspects of financial services including budget preparation, funder reporting, monthly and quarterly financial analysis, payroll, accounts payables and receivables, audits, financial policies and procedures and other related functions.· Excellent understanding of the legal, fiscal, and regulatory environment in which charitable organizations operate.· Experience working with accounting software such as Quickbooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, ADP, OnPay, WFN, etc.· Experience with software transition and integration.· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required to analyze and summarize data.· Excellent at communicating complex financial statements and budgets in accessible language to groups both with and without formal financial training.· Experience conducting financial analysis and reporting for multi-year budgets with multiple and highly diverse income streams and expense categories.· Experience preparing financial reporting for provincial and federal government, philanthropic and other institutional donors in Canada and abroad.· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting to boards globally.If you match these requirements and currently work for an NPO (Charity) please apply online referencing “Director of Finance and Administration”.
