- Leveraging your superb people skills and ability to communicate effectively with donors, you will conduct registration and confidential screening to determine eligibility and build and promote a positive donor experience.
- Utilizing your excellent customer service skills, you will monitor donors for safety and comfort, provide post donation care and respect for donor privacy.
- Drawing on your knowledge or experience in following procedures you will ensure safe processing and handling of blood products.
- With your excellent interpersonal skills, you will work with others and assist in the collection of whole blood and apheresis blood components which save lives daily.
- At mobile events within our communities, you will assist in setting up booths, tables, and other equipment to ensure donor clinics are properly set up for use.
- Completion of high school.
- Completion of accredited training program in phlebotomy or one-year related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs. Previous knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook are considered assets.

- Applicant must be willing to travel and must be available for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Shift start and stop times are as follows: 1015-1930, 1045-1945, 1130-1945, 1145-2130, 1145-1945, 1145-2100,1215-2130, 1215-2115,1230-2100,1245-2045 one Friday every 4 weeks 0945-1745 and one Saturday every 4 weeks 0845-1645. Rest days are Sunday and Monday.
- Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift weights up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).
