Our client in the Manufacturing industry in Burlington ON is looking for a Parts & Service Manager to join their team.Reporting to the General Manager, the Parts & Service Manager will lead the Parts & Service department. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure a high standard of quality and service excellence. Responsibilities
Technical Management & Expertise:
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to customers, service technicians, and other stakeholders as needed.
Evaluate and pursue continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
Become a subject matter expert on products and servicesProcess Flow:
Oversee the scheduling, tracking, and invoicing of service calls and rebuilds.
Manage the strapping head rebuild program within time and quality constraints.
Optimize inventory for spare parts and replacement items.Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, develop, and coach the Aftermarket Support team.
Roles cover technical sales, strapping head rebuilds, inventory management, logistics, parts/service/project coordination, and field services.
Build, equip, and train high-performing service technicians based on service schedule loads.
Establish KPIs and metrics to measure team effectiveness and overall performance.
Set goals and expectations for the team and provide support in achieving objectives.
Determine training requirements and develop training programs/materials when necessary1.Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering: Knowledge in this field is considered an asset.
Project Management: Experience in this area is advantageous.
Leadership: Previous supervisory experience with proven leadership skills is essential.
Accountability: Demonstrated ability to be accountable for results.
Problem-Solving and Time Management: Strong attention to detail and some technical aptitude.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with an ERP system is also beneficial.
Educational Background: A university degree in Business or a related field.Summary
