Shift Details: 4:20 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):PIPE FABRICATIONPipe Fabrication & Installation
- Support experienced pipefitters in fabricating piping systems for compression and process equipment, following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assist in the installation of piping and control systems, supports, valves, and spools ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare materials for fabrication and installation, including measuring, cutting, threading, and bending/fitting pipes to required dimensions.
- Assist in handling/rigging and bolting of spools.
- Assist in conducting hydro testing on spool assemblies according to company procedures.
- Assist in documenting work progress, including material usage, hours worked, and any issues encountered during fabrication and installation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Read and interpret P&ID (piping and instrumentation drawings) and GA’s (general assembly) drawings to assist with assembly processing piping systems.
- Use various hand and power tools and equipment safely while abiding by the health & safety rules/regulations
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment used in pipefitting activities, performing routine inspections and repairs as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, and helping others maintain their work areas
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Assist in conducting quality inspections to verify that fabricated and installed piping systems meet the required specifications and standards, identifying and addressing any deviations or defects.
- Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge of compression and process equipment, pipefitting techniques, and safety practices.
- Enrollment in or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program, in pipefitting.
- 1 year’s experience as a pipefitter or labourer in a relevant department, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication techniques would be considered an asset.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical, alcohol, and drug test
- Familiarity with various pipe materials/grades would be considered an asset.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions closely.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
