Our client is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Accountant who is actively pursuing a CPA designation to join their dynamic finance team.The Role:As an Intermediate/Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who is looking to advance their career in accounting.Key Responsibilities:· Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring they comply with GAAP and industry standards.· Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.· Manage accounts payable and receivable and maintain accurate financial records and reports.· Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.· Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.· Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets.· Provide financial analysis and support for construction projects, including cost tracking, variance analysis, and profitability assessments.· Support the finance team in tax preparation and compliance activities.· Act as a mentor to junior accounting staff, guiding them in their career development and understanding of the construction industry's financial landscape.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.· Active pursuit of a CPA designation (either currently enrolled in the CPA program or planning to enroll).· 3+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in the construction industry or a related field.· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial standards (GAAP), and tax regulations.· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Dynamics, Oracle) and MS Office (especially Excel).· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.· Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.Why Join Us?You'll find a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development.
