Security Officer (Weekend Part Time)

- Responding to emergency situations and liaising with law enforcement
- Security support to all departments across the hotel
- Responding to fire alarm activations and internal alarms
- Providing First Aid assistance and liaising with NSW Ambulance service when required
- Conducting training regarding fire safety based on policy and procedure.
- Incident response, investigation and report writing.
- Monitoring of CCTV and internal alarms
- VIP security, including providing support to protection officers and their associates.
- All matters regarding high profile event security
- Major shifts are Saturdays and Sundays
- Qualifications and experience in Security Operations, Security & Risk Management & Work Health & Safety
- Experience in security within a five-star hotel, or similar operation providing a high standard of service.
- You will know how to implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure they comply with all relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice
- You will be an open-minded confident individual with a positive calm demeanor who is a goal setter and natural communicator.
- Have the ability to keep calm and problem solve under pressure both autonomously and as part of a team.

- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the security industry
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience responding to RSA occurrences
- NSW Security Licence 1ACE
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and competency card, digital or otherwise
- Be available to work set weekly shifts with the requirement of flexibility based on business demands and public holidays.
- Be up to date with various technology within the security industry and have advanced computer skills.
- Be knowledgeable of Australian and New South Wales legislation relating to security and licensed venues, such as the NSW Security Industry Act, Liquor Act and the Inclosed Lands Protection Act
- Have demonstrated experience and problem-solving skills in relation to crowd control, conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques and access control.
- Current First Aid Certificate including up to date annual CPR.
