Bilingual Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator - Permanent - 17131Are you looking for a permanent role that combines your passion for health and safety with your bilingual skills? You will enjoy a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, flexible work hours, and free parking.As a Coordinator for Occupational Health & Safety, you will be the main contact person for all health and safety questions. You will give advice and assistance to managers and supervisors in addressing safety issues, risks or violations and take corrective measures if needed. You will also support the Manager in applying compliance changes and create, oversee, and manage the Health and Safety Program in partnership with Health and Safety Committees as needed. You will cooperate with supervisors and joint health and safety committees to ensure timely investigation of all accident/incident reports, and that suggestions for corrective actions are properly and consistently implemented. You will also help with the accident and injury reporting system and management system for workers compensation as mandated by law. You will also keep records and reports of claims management and determine health and safety training needs, making recommendations to the Manager.To be successful in this role, you will need to have fluent bilingualism in English and French, preferably 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar occupational health and safety role, and completion of a diploma in occupational health and safety from a recognized institution or a comparable mix of education and experience. You will also need to have or be able to get a reliability security clearance and have a valid driver's license. You will also need to have practical knowledge of health and safety management systems and proven comprehension of health and safety laws.Does this sound like the job for you?
