Randstad Canada is looking for operational technicians for our pharmaceutical client located in Mississauga!The candidate must be able to perform proper equipment set-up, operation and In-Process Check, Line Clearance and Change over to ensure reliable and quality product is packed consistently.
Looking for someone who is experienced and who is able to work Monday to Friday and weekly rotational shifts as requiredThe Operational Technicians are prime operators of packaging equipment. Competency in technical knowledge and general understanding of the related tools is required to successfully perform the task.Shifts: (please note for this role, you must be able to work all shifts)
Days 7am to 3:30pm
Afternoons 3pm to 11:30pm
Nights 11pm to 7:30amLocation - 7333 Mississauga Road, Mississauga close to to major highways and local transportation

The candidate must be able to perform proper equipment set-up, operation and In-Process Check, Line Clearance and Change over to ensure reliable and quality product is packed consistently.Key Responsibilities-
Operation and maintenance of production equipment and area modifications according to GMP, safety and quality standards.
Perform all packaging/process activities
Operate, maintain and adjust process equipment according to established procedures
Lead the mechanical changeover of equipment according to established procedures
Participate in the preparation and completion of all documentation applicable to production
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Clean equipment, rooms and general areas for production use
Write and/or revise SOPs for new equipment and/or processes
Perform related computer tasks: SAP, IMS
Participate in internal and external quality audits
Participate in quality and customer complaint investigations
Lead in process improvement initiatives
Participate in process improvements and SMED
Trouble-shoot equipment and process related issues
Work in other Manufacturing/Packaging areas as requiredQualifications
Educational Background -
Minimum level of Education - High School Diploma
Area of Specialization - Experience/knowledge with packaging equipment's
Operational technician is expected to read and understand and follow procedures, document in-process checks and any observed incident during packaging.
Job-Related Experience - Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required -
Knowledge of production processes and equipment demonstrated through performance
Proven Technical Competency
Strong problem-solving skills
Self-managed team player, experienced in working with teams in a production environment
Highly motivated, conscientious, innovative and creative.
Computer skills i.e., Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to use and understand automation solutions such as IP21, eBRS, CDISY, Free Weigh, etc.
