SPUD is looking for an Inbound Team Lead to join our team at our Calgary warehouse. The schedule for this position is to be determined.The Inbound Team Lead oversees and participates in the daily operations of the Receiving/Inbound department at the Spud Edmonton location. Working with the team or as an individual, the Team Lead is responsible for execution of the many daily Inbound tasks. In addition, they will be responsible for communicating with the Inbound, Purchasing, ICQA and Operation teams to ensure smooth day to day operations. You will assist in developing and creating winning inbound procedures.SPUD.ca is an online grocery delivery business in Western Canada.   • You will be the Receiving expert; you will ensure that all incoming products are received and stocked accurately, verifying quantities, quality, and expiration dates, delegating as needed throughout the team and requesting assistance if needed.
  • You will be detail oriented, when deliveries arrive, you will be the person who checks over what has been delivered, make sure it matches paperwork and signs Bills of Lading, documenting any details needed.
  • You will oversee that stock/overstock is rotated properly first-in-first-out (FIFO) removing items when damaged, expired etc. and documenting for inventory purposes.
  • Organizing and planning for incoming orders prior to arrival, effectively providing a smooth transition for receiving and storing products.
  • Guide the team to meet timelines and accuracy targets, through daily engagement & motivation.
  • Train team members on Standard Operating Procedures for Receiving and work with Inbound Supervisor to develop/update as needed.
  • Communicating with off-site teams (procurement) flagging any issues & working closely with our Inbound Supervisor.
  • Work closely with ICQA/Data Entry department, noting IO's, completing counts etc. when needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies for reducing shorts, subs & waits.
  • Coach the team for performance & accuracy.
  • Support managers & supervisors in managing day-to-day operations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Experience in a warehouse setting and/or within the grocery industry would be terrific!
  • Experience receiving and checking produce is a plus!
