The Accountant will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for the company including payroll, computers, invoicing, Quickbooks, insurance, monthly payments, HR files, and accounts payablesSchedule: 40 hours weeklyResponsibilities:
  • Daily banking and account reconciliation
  • Processing accounts receivable and payable
  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
  • Maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting principles including the recording of journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Notifying the controller of any accounting errors or irregularities
  • Managing client emails and other correspondence
  • Documenting and ensuring records are up to date
  • Monitoring and analyzing financial information to identify trends and variances
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong accounting and computer skills with accounting degree/ diploma
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
  • 2+ years experience in a similar position
  • Efficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Communicates effectively, in writing and verbally, with staff and vendors
  • "Can do" attitude and team player
  • Excellent with deadlines
  • Familiarity with payroll and Davis Bacon is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, highly organized detail-oriented and self-motivated
