- Plan and perform engineering duties supporting Cathodic Protection corrosion projects
- Review preliminary data, discuss objectives and expectations, and suggest appropriate engineering methods and procedures
- Develop detailed CP designs and mentor more junior engineers
- Provide technical supervision and technical assistance to other divisions within the company
- Conduct various field tests such as structure potential, soil resistivity, current requirements, etc.
- Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables
- Prepare CP designs, specifying anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations and other design features on prepared drawings
- Prepare survey and design reports
- Coordinate engineering aspects of installation process
- Diagnose and remedy system difficulties during resurvey operations
- Conduct post installation survey
- Prepare final client report including service recommendations
- Conduct interference testing and coordinate bonding with client and affected companies
- Participate in sales activities as required
- Function as crew leader when necessary
- Report findings and recommendations and cost estimates for additional engineering services
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
- EIT preferred
- AMPP / NACE Cathodic Protection Tester or Technician Certification
- 3 years of corrosion experience including troubleshooting and some CP design
- Must be able to travel to client sites
- Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to take initiative and function independently and have strong team and internal customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
