Your Opportunity:As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, reporting to the Manager, Community Addiction and Mental Health, Central Zone-Wainwright, you will provide emergent intervention, screening, risk and mental health assessment, provisional diagnostic, and treatment planning services to adults with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. Using a variety of treatment modalities, you will provide risk assessment and brief therapy services. Additional responsibilities will include working in partnership with and providing consultation to community agencies and physicians in the continuum of mental health care. This position is responsible for assessment/intervention for those with short-term and chronic mental health issues in a variety of community settings. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.

Required Qualifications:Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college. Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of one of the following programs will be considered: Bachelor of Social Work including training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy and who have Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or a Related Master's degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Diploma or bachelor's degree in nursing or Psychiatric Nursing with: Related master's degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or, Experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience. Completed licensure under the Health Professions Act. Direct client care includes responding, screening, and prioritizing service, conducting necessary assessment and providing treatment to clients including mental status and risk assessments and therapy. Therapy. 5 years' experience in mental health/addictions. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in addictions and mental health service delivery in rural settings and a working knowledge of Connect Care would be preferred.
