- Preparing tax technical research, tax correspondence and memos
- Reviewing complex tax compliance, including tax returns and election forms
- Providing support for team members on tax related matters for all clients
- Supporting the development and coaching of other professionals and junior members
- Working with other team members to review potential planning opportunities and to generate additional business for the firm from existing clients
- Designated CPA
- Currently enrolled in, or has completed, the CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course
- 4+ years of public practice experience, with a minimum of 2 in Canadian private company tax
- Strong tax compliance background with an understanding of the issues and challenges faced by small-to-medium sized businesses
- Experience with tax reorganizations and transactions
- Independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter
- Multi-tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) – and commitment to maintaining an open, transparent dialogue with colleagues and clients
