We have partnered with our out client who specializes in the food retailer indsutry in looking for their next Legal Coordinator in Mississauga. The successful candidate would be responsible for administrative and coordination functions for the Legal team including: preparing legal documents, completes legal processes, collects, organizes, and enters data into the applicable databases and systems.Position: Legal Coordinator

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
Location: Misssisauga, ON. (Hybrid)

- Administrative tasks related to Legal, Corporate, Commercial Leasing and Franchising
- Prepares legal documents (i.e. Franchise Agreements, Disclosure Documents, Releases, etc.),
- Coordination and administration (preapproval, approval, store creation, announcements, etc.)
- With the assistance of the team, negotiate, draft, review and amend commercial leases and lease documents, sublease agreements, lease surrenders and renewals.
- Site, selection, identification, market identification, PiinPoint analysis and other tasks as assigned.
- Corporate filings such as corporate registrations, renewals, and amendments.
- Data entry and maintenance of various systems.
- Providing demographic studies as requested.
- Maintains various trackers and databases including the Lease, Corporate, Franchise Agreement, Non-Traditional (Express) portions of the Store Information database.
- Ensuring accurate and up to date records for the department.
- Communicate with and provide information to Franchise Partners on lease situations and business terms.
- Assist with store transfers (from beginning to end), including legal documents (Franchise Agreements, Disclosure Documents, Releases, etc.), corporate searches and PPSA registrations.Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 4+ years previous experience in a legal/development role with specific experience in commercial leasing and/or franchising is preferred.
- Exposure to Real Estate and/or Corporate and/or Franchising and/or Leasing law are required.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Extremely organized and diligent with follow-up and detail
- Strong technical skills using MS Office and advanced excel skills
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and multitask.
- Flexible, team player that is service oriented and shows a willingness to help internal team members, as well as Franchise PartnersSummary
