We currently have an opportunity for a Material Handling Operator at our Yorkton – Oilseed location. Material Handling Operators are responsible for providing effective customer service of the daily processes within the operations areas of the logistics department. They must ensure that all operational procedures are executed safely within minimal non-conformance and business interruptions.Responsibilities:Receive and grade seedLoad and ship finished product and rail yard managementMaintain a safe, clean and accessible environmentUnderstand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rulesParticipate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:Always using the required personal protective equipmentEnsuring that authorized work is completed safelyUtilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazardsParticipating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiativesReporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedureQualifications:Must have grade 12 or equivalentMust have excellent written, documentation and verbal communication skillsMust be able to work rotating shiftsPrior experience with Microsoft Excel and data entry experience is requiredPrior experience in a manufacturing plant environment would be considered an assetRichardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities.Interested candidates should click the Apply icon to apply online by March 14, 2024.Richardson International values diversity in the workplace.
