- Own mechanical design of plant changes through the MOC process
- Analyze maintenance history and failure data to prioritize issues and opportunities
- Develop preventative and predictive maintenance strategies and tactics for fixed and rotating equipment
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations
- Conduct equipment assessments during maintenance and inspection opportunities for repair quality, fitness for service, and life expectancy evaluation
- Specify pressure equipment repairs
- Develop equipment specifications and review equipment purchases and installations to ensure that equipment is built to recognized practices
- Work with Site Trades Groups, Planners, Engineers, Inspectors, and Projects Groups
- Support department long-term maintenance plan and asset management goals
- Bring a high level of problem-solving skills and comprehension
- Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical
- Eligible for registration with APEGA as an Engineer In Training
- New Grad with engineering work experience in a plant environment
- Exposure to pressure vessel and piping codes (ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, ASME PCC-1, ASME PCC-2), and NDT inspection techniques
- Exposure to API 579, API 571, API 510, API 570 and API 650
- Exposure to Alberta regulatory requirements for pressure equipment
- Advanced experience working with Excel and an understanding of VBA programing language
- Experience using PV Elite, CodeCalc, and CAESAR is considered an asset
