- Educate other specialists within the group and wider on technical decision making and influence
- Provide recommendations for promotions from ES to SES
- Propose implementation/certification guidance for technical innovations based on knowledge of industry/regulatory emerging regulations or lack thereof
- Recommend new cost-effective engineering solutions through Knowledge Domains and Programs
- Develop network of contact throughout Industry
- Lead and coordinate resolution to Delegation and Certification related issues with Regulators (ie. Table of Concordance, DAPM, DAO, Compliance etc.)
- Participate in internal DAO and Authority PVI audits and provide technical guidance for resolution of findings
- Support rulemaking process
- Collect and disposition Lessons Learned with KD for community cross programs
- Lead and coordinate solution development for complex certification related problems leveraging transformation and BES
- Work to resolve systemic issues affecting continued airworthiness and customer acceptance
- Technical process oversight and adherence
- Validate technical processes & Knowledge Standards meet Best Practice
- Enforce adherence to BES practices and Knowledge Standards to promote product line integrity and consistency - May perform BES Champion role
- Support problem solving in the Knowledge Domain across product lines
- Collect/Validate Lessons Learned in own Domain in support of Knowledge Owner
- Mentors Engineers from his/her technical discipline
- Recommend development action of SESs as part of PDP
- Mentor successors
- Research technical developments in the industry to remain aware of emerging regulations
- Perform RoM business cases and statements of work for technical studies and aircraft studies having multi-disciplinary inputs
- Lead Strat Tech team thinking regarding certification
- Share Industry and Regulatory Development with KD`s
- Provide guidance to Applicant for IP, CM, CRI, CAI
- Support technical specialist development of MoC for new or novel regulatory interpretations
- Participate/support in LOI peer review activities
- Prepare/support company inputs to NPA's
- Technical guidance to Programs, Contracts, Customer Support and CARB
- Support the Safety team to execute A/C Level Safety, Reliability and Security processes
- Multi-disciplinary alignment for Triage, CARB and AOG issues when necessary
- You have a Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering. May have a PHD related directly to a field of expertise
- You have Over 15 year or more of relevant experience in a specific aerospace engineering field
- You have experience on at least 2 or more development programs
- You are expert in one or more areas
- You are highly recommended, has an international reputation
- You have advanced knowledge in a specific field and a breadth of knowledge of many aircraft systems
- You may perform as a regulatory authority delegate in the field of expertise
