As a trusted advisor to the Finance leadership team, you will have in-depth involvement in many aspects of our key business activities and processes.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish togetherReporting to the Director, the Financial Analyst III will support our Health Business business unit to review/analyze Business Case with a focus on Bid support, financial analysis, and supporting efficiency programs and ensure we have a robust bid governance. We are looking for someone who has a strong sense of initiative and ability to work under tight deadlines and with great interpersonal skills.Here's howAs a member of the Health Finance team, you will:
  • Review, coordinate & support, and ensure approval of all major Bids as defined by governance jurisdiction
  • Review, support, and provide economic modeling support for Business cases as required
  • Preparation of summary financial analysis for Bids
  • Liaise with other financial areas in terms of Bid impacts (e.g. Taxation, Treasury, Investment management, Planning)
  • Provide financial risk assessment on RFP terms and conditions
  • Support other business investment initiatives as required (e.g. acquisitions, partnerships)
  • Support sales incentive program - health team target setting
  • Support health business units to drive efficiency with procurement team
  • Provide post bid economic modeling support for establishment of plans intended to track large deal performance

  • Regarded for your exceptional communication skills and comfort presenting to an executive audience
Great-to-haves
  • University degree and CPA accounting designation or Business degree BAA/MBA
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant analytical experience in a finance/accounting role
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management, problem solving and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Bilingual (French/ English) -- Fluent in French is an asset
  • Ability to formulate recommendations and provide direction and education to the project team with respect to TELUS financial policies, procedures and systems
  • Ability to identify accounting issues, impacts and provide recommendations
  • Self-motivated, high standards of performance with the ability to deal with complex concepts and ambiguity
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into a format understandable by project teams
  • Bid pricing and cost estimate/modeling experience: Project costing and control
Salary Range: $73,000-$109,000Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
