The Site Administrative Manager is responsible for site coordination, planning and oversight of daily bed management and patient flow activities. As a delegate of the Site Administrator/ Director-on-Call, the Site Administrator Manager functions as a centralized resource and contact for decision making and communication. The Site Administrative Manager will chair daily Bed Management meetings; receive up to date information regarding patient flow to/from departments; and identify and prioritize bed assignments and activity. The Site Administrative Manager will proactively identify, support and facilitate ongoing advancement of improvement opportunities and best practice patient flow activities. After regular business hours, the Site Administrative Manager will also serve as the clinical and administrative liaison with both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure operational requirements of the hospital are addressed and, when necessary, consult with and include Director-on-Call and other stakeholders in decision making and planning.Qualifications1. Current Certificate of Registration with a Health Professional College
2. Baccalaureate degree required; Masters preferred
3. 3-5 years acute hospital care experience
4. 2-5 years experience in a formal management or leadership position
5. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
6. Demonstrated understanding of patient flow and discharge planning
7. Advanced interpersonal skills and strong problem solving abilities
8. Demonstrated understanding of quality methods and tools
9. Excellent consultation, negotiation, mediation and client advocacy skills
10. Demonstrated ability to critically appraise health care literature/policy, evaluate and synthesize findings, and guide implementation of best practice protocols
11. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of: health legislation/regulations; health discipline standards of practice; and relevant Collective Agreements
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
