- Develop project budgets and work breakdown structures in collaboration with the Preconstruction department.
- Create project schedules with the Project Superintendent to measure progress and identify priorities impacting the schedule.
- Define terms and scope of work for subcontractor and supplier packages with the Preconstruction department.
- Establish project billing breakdowns for submission to the client.
- Attend site meetings with clients and consultants, ensuring timely attention to all correspondence.
- Review and approve subcontractor and supplier monthly payment applications.
- Provide monthly job costing summaries.
- Assume full responsibility for adherence to plans and specifications while coordinating with project schedules.
- Oversee project closeout, including resolving outstanding issues with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as addressing deficiencies and finalizing documentation.
- Prepare and present post-project evaluations.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a general contracting environment, managing all aspects of projects.
- Designations such as C.Tech., P.Eng., or CET preferred.
- Eligibility for Gold Seal certification is a plus.
- 10-15 years of construction-related experience in projects within the $75-$100 million range.
- Experience in water/wastewater, high-rise/commercial, ICI/infrastructure, transport, or airport projects.
- Strong proficiency in estimating, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and client relationship management.
- Prior experience with conceptual estimating and design-build on mid-sized to large projects.
- Excellent management skills and proactive in addressing issues.
- Experience with design-build and water/wastewater projects is a plus.
- Strong leadership, teambuilding, and computer skills.
- Extensive experience with lump sum projects.
- Proficiency with MS Office is required.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
